Plenty of factories will sew you a coverall. An FR clothing manufacturer has to do a harder thing: hold a protective specification — fabric platform, weight, construction — identical across ten thousand garments and four reorder years, and prove it at inspection. That is the program we run for distributors, PPE brands and uniform companies who put their own label on flame resistant workwear.
The fabric library your program is built from
| Platform | Composition | Weight | Typical garments |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cotton FR | 99% cotton / 1% antistatic fibre | 270 GSM | Coveralls, jackets, pants, shirts |
| Modacrylic Cotton FR | 60% modacrylic / 38% cotton / 2% carbon fibres | 270 GSM | Coveralls, jackets, pants |
| Heavy garment builds | FR blends incl. modacrylic and conductive-fibre options | 280–360 GSM | Winter and high-abrasion styles |
| FR knit | FR knit platform — blend stated per style in the quote | 200–220 GSM | Polo shirts, henleys |
| FR softshell | FR face + FR PU membrane + modacrylic-blend inner | 350 GSM | Jackets, weather layers |
Every platform in the library is quoted with its composition, weight and the standard framework it is specified against. FR performance for a program is evidenced by test reports for that platform; how long a garment stays in service is governed by the documented care instructions and your inspection and retirement criteria, and both are confirmed with the specification — not left to a fabric label. Custom FR clothing requests — a different weight, a blend adjustment, a hi-vis shade on an FR cloth — start from this library and are quoted with lab-dip and strike-off stages built into the timeline.
How an OEM/ODM program runs
- Specification. You send target standard, garment list, fabric preference and quantities. We reply with the platform options and the constructions we put forward for that standard.
- Sampling (7 days). Proto samples in the specified cloth; size set and print/embroidery strike-offs follow your comments.
- Approval & bulk. Production in our Yangon, Myanmar plant (1,500 staff; 5 million garments produced at the plant in 2022) or the China line for shorter runs — 35 days China bulk, 90–120 days Myanmar bulk, production time.
- Inspection & release. AQL 2.5 / 4.0 final inspection; your SGS / ITS or agency inspection is accepted as the shipping standard.
- Reorder continuity. Your fabric approval, size chart and label files are kept on record, so reorders run against the same specification without re-sampling the basics.
Private label, handled properly
Woven brand labels, printed size/care labels in your market's languages, embroidered or transferred logos, retail polybags with your barcodes, carton marks with your PO structure. Your artwork files stay in your program folder and are not shared across customers — confidentiality of designs and customer information is a standing term of our OEM service.
Who we manufacture for
- PPE distributors building an FR line under their own brand
- Uniform companies adding FR to an existing workwear contract
- Industrial groups standardising crew FR across sites and countries
- Importers replacing an undocumented FR supply with a written-specification program
Group context (company-reported): Fuyi reports supplying 1,000+ uniform companies and exporting to roughly 80 countries, under management systems including BSCI, Sedex, OEKO-TEX, GRS and ISO 9001 / 14001 programs.
Start a program
Send your garment list, target standards (NFPA 2112, EN ISO 11612, ASTM F1506 or your market's equivalent), estimated quantities per style and labelling requirements. The first reply contains fabric cards, MOQ per style (FR styles from 3,000 pieces), the sampling timeline and a production slot.
Frequently asked questions
Can you develop a fabric outside your library? Within limits, yes — our chain includes weaving and dyeing, so weight and shade developments are feasible on program volumes. Protection-critical changes are re-specified and re-sampled, never silently substituted.
Do you also manufacture hi-vis programs? Yes — the same factory system runs our hi-vis workwear and safety vest programs, and combined FR + hi-vis garments are a standing build.
What information do you need for a first quote? Garment list, target standard, fabric preference if any, quantity per style, size range, and branding/packing requirements. Photos or a reference garment speed things up but are not required.
